TRIPOD for Clustered Data

TRIPOD for Clustered Data is an extension of TRIPOD, focusing on studies aimed at developing, validating or updating a prediction model using large clustered datasets with individual participant data (IPD) from multiple studies (so-called IPD meta-analysis) or from datasets consisting of multiple centers, regions or countries (e.g. large electronic health record data sets). When prediction model development and validation studies include participants from multiple clusters (such as multiple centers or studies), differences in case-mix, in predictor and outcome definitions and in data quality need to be addressed and sufficiently reported.
